As a woman deeply connected to her Slavic heritage, I've always been drawn to the ancient rituals and beliefs of my ancestors: those who honored the Earth as sacred. Yet I also felt a powerful presence of the Divine each time I stepped into a quiet church, where my reverence for the Creator deepened.
The One who formed the world from the void, who breathed life into its soil, and from that soil, called forth woman. Since ancient times, woman and Earth were seen as parallel sanctuaries: both sacred, life-bearing, deeply interwoven with cycles of growth, seasons, renewal and care. Both are temples and a holy ground.
In this space, Berkana was conceived, where both Earth-based wisdom and divine design live together.
